A tracked Hyperliquid or Lighter wallet with large positions. All positions are public on-chain data.
How we compute it
Wallets are found through the official leaderboard, large trades and the daily snapshot of every Hyperliquid position; new wallets are added from $25,000 of positions.
Positions are polled on a schedule by size: about every 2.5 minutes from $10M, every 10 minutes from $1M, every 60 minutes from $100k; every position carries its own poll time.
A whale move is the change between two polls: opened, added to, flipped, closed or liquidated. Moves of $100,000 or more are kept for 3 years, smaller ones for 400 days.
How to read it
A move says what the wallet did between two polls, with size and price, not why it did it.
Look at the wallet page for its other positions before reading one move on its own.
Common mistakes
Treating a wallet as one person. A wallet can be a fund, a market maker or a vault; vaults have their own ranking.
Expecting every trade. Changes between two polls are merged into one move.
