1. Scope and contracting party

These terms apply to every use of Blockmetric, free or paid: the website, accounts, alerts, the Telegram bot, widgets and downloads, the data API and Blockmetric RPC. Your contracting party is the operator named in the legal notice (“we”, “us”).

A consumer is a natural person who concludes the contract for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession; a business is anyone acting in the exercise of their trade, business or profession. General terms of a business customer do not apply, even if we do not object to them. An individual contract (Enterprise) takes precedence over these terms where it differs from them.

2. The service

Blockmetric provides aggregated market data (liquidation levels, positions, funding, open interest, liquidations, whale and on-chain movements, news and security events) from public sources as a website, alerts, widgets, downloads and an API, and with Blockmetric RPC access to blockchain nodes. We do not execute orders, hold or manage assets, or give recommendations.

What each plan includes is shown on the pricing pages (trading plans, API plans, RPC plans) at the time of your order. Products shown with a waitlist are not on sale yet; joining a waitlist creates no contract.

We develop the service continuously and may change, replace or discontinue features of the free service at any time. In a paid plan, a change that impairs your access or use more than slightly is announced by e-mail in good time; consumers can then end the contract free of charge within 30 days (§ 327r of the German Civil Code, BGB).

3. Account and conclusion of the contract

  • An account needs a valid e-mail address that you confirm. Your details must be true.
  • Keep your password, two-factor codes, API keys and RPC tokens secret and tell us without undue delay if you suspect misuse. You are responsible for use made of your access unless you are not at fault for it.
  • You can delete your account at any time in account settings.

A paid plan is ordered in these steps: choose a plan and the billing interval on the pricing page, log in or create an account, check the order overview (plan, price, term, trial, consents) and correct your choice there or with “Back”, then complete the payment page of the payment provider. The plans shown on our pages are not a binding offer; by completing the payment page you place a binding order, and the contract is concluded when we activate the plan. We confirm every order by e-mail with these terms attached as a text file; the current version is always available at https://blockmetric.io/terms.

4. No investment advice

We owe information, not investment advice or brokerage. You make your own decisions and bear their risk. What the data can and cannot tell you, and the risks of trading crypto assets and leveraged derivatives, are set out in the disclaimer.

5. Data and availability

The data comes from third parties (including Hyperliquid, Public archive of the Hyperliquid node state, Lighter, Lighter RH, dYdX, GMX, Binance, Bybit, Exchange proof-of-reserves, Public EVM RPCs (publicnode + fallback), Chainlink price feeds (on-chain), Protocol registry (official docs), mempool.space (Bitcoin), U.S. SEC, CFTC, FBI and DOJ releases, OFAC SDN list (U.S. Treasury), FBI / IC3 public service announcements) and is processed automatically. We process it with care, but we do not owe that it is complete, correct or current at all times; its limits are described in the disclaimer.

We aim to run the service around the clock but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, in particular during maintenance and outages of data sources, hosting or network providers. The current state is shown on /status. A committed availability with service credits exists only for the paid data plans (section 10).

6. Subscriptions, prices, payment and term

Prices: Pro $29 per month or $278 per year, Desk $79 per month or $758 per year, API Dev $49 per month or $529 per year, API Pro $249 per month or $2,689 per year, including VAT where applicable; the final price is shown before purchase. A yearly price is 12 monthly prices minus the plan's yearly discount (Pro and Desk 20%, API Dev and API Pro 10%), rounded down to whole dollars. Enterprise by individual yearly contract. Pro and Desk start with a free 7-day trial, once per account, on its first subscription; a payment method is asked for up front, and unless the subscription is cancelled before the trial ends, the paid subscription starts and the price is charged. During a free trial, CSV and JSON downloads hold up to 30 days of data per file, 10 files a day, and are marked as trial files; the plan's full download depth opens with the first payment.

The price is paid in advance for the chosen billing period (month or year) through our payment provider with the payment methods shown on its payment page. Where the payment provider sells the subscription as merchant of record (the order overview and the order confirmation say so), it takes the payment, issues the invoice, and its buyer terms apply to payment and refunds. If a payment fails, the payment provider may retry it; if it is not made, the paid plan can end and the account returns to the free plan.

Subscriptions renew for the chosen term and can be cancelled at any time to the end of the paid period: in your account, via the billing portal or via Cancel contract here (link in the footer of every page, no login needed). We confirm every cancellation immediately by e-mail with its content, the date and time of receipt and the date the contract ends. Both parties keep the right to terminate for good cause.

Fair billing and refunds

  • After cancelling, access stays until the end of the paid period; nothing more is charged.
  • We send an e-mail reminder 7 days before every yearly renewal and 2 days before a free trial ends, with the date, the amount and the cancel link.
  • Forgot to cancel a yearly renewal? Tell us within 14 days after the renewal and we refund it in full and end the subscription.
  • 14-day money-back guarantee: within 14 days after the first payment of a subscription you can ask for a full refund of that payment, without giving a reason, once per account (also after deleting and re-creating it). The subscription then ends at once and the account returns to the free plan. For API Dev and API Pro the guarantee applies while the API was used lightly: on average at most 10% of the plan's daily request limit per day since the payment. The refund goes back to the original payment method through the payment provider.
  • Price guarantee: Your price never goes up while you stay subscribed. A price change applies only to new subscriptions; a running subscription keeps its price for every renewal until it is cancelled.
  • Upgrades start at once; the unused part of the paid period of the old plan is credited pro rata. Downgrades and changes of the billing interval start with the next period.
  • Apart from the cases above, monthly payments are not refunded pro rata; the subscription can be cancelled at any time to the end of the month. Statutory rights (withdrawal, warranty) remain unaffected.

7. Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you are a consumer (section 1), you have the following statutory right of withdrawal. The notice below is the official model of Directive 2011/83/EU, Annex I, filled in for a service contract. You can also withdraw online: withdraw from contract here.

Withdrawal notice

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us ([name of the operator: to be added], [postal address: to be added], email kontakt@blockmetric.io) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online at https://blockmetric.io/withdraw. If you use this online feature, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of the withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by email), including its content and the date and time of its submission, without undue delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

End of withdrawal notice

Model withdrawal form

(complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract)

- To [name of the operator: to be added], [postal address: to be added], email kontakt@blockmetric.io:

- I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/We (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract of sale of the following goods (*)/for the provision of the following service (*),

- Ordered on (*)/received on (*),

- Name of consumer(s),

- Address of consumer(s),

- Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper),

(*) Delete as appropriate.

Early start of the service and expiry of the right of withdrawal

Blockmetric is a digital service (continuous access to data on the website, alerts and the API). Before the payment page we ask you to expressly request that we begin the service before the end of the withdrawal period and to acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed by us; we confirm both by e-mail. Your right of withdrawal then expires only when the contract has been fully performed. A subscription runs for at least a month, so within the 14 days you can still withdraw; you then pay the proportionate amount described above for the time until your withdrawal.

Where a payment provider sells the subscription as merchant of record (section 6), the statutory withdrawal is handled under its buyer terms as well; you can also send your withdrawal to us and we pass it on.

8. API and data licence

What you may do with the data depends on the plan; every API response states the tier in meta.license.

  • Free, Pro, Desk (personal key): personal use by the account holder only. No display to other people, no sharing of data or keys.
  • API Dev: internal use within one organisation (one company or person including its employees), e.g. research, internal dashboards, own bots. No display to third parties outside that organisation.
  • API Pro: display in your own product (website, app, bot, newsletter) to its end users, with the visible attribution “Data by Blockmetric” linked to our website next to the data, for up to 50,000 monthly active end users (fair use; above that, Enterprise). Not allowed: redistribution of the raw data (bulk export, data feeds, an own API or file downloads for third parties), resale of the data and building a competing data offering.
  • Enterprise (individual yearly contract from $12,000): redistribution, white-label, dataset licences for the point-in-time archive, SLA and payment by invoice, as agreed. Point-in-time data is never revised retroactively.

Overage (API Dev and API Pro only, only after you enable it in your account): requests above the daily limit are billed with the subscription at $0.50 (API Dev) or $0.30 (API Pro) per 1,000 requests, never above the monthly cap you set; rejected requests are never billed. All tiers: limits apply per account (60 and 300 requests per minute for API Dev and API Pro). Keys must not be shared or published. Keep the data's source attribution (meta.sources, see data sources); data of switched-off sources is not delivered. Without a key (public access with the header X-Blockmetric-Access: public): free-plan data for personal, non-commercial use only; when you show it, show “Data by Blockmetric” with a link.

Third-party exchange data

Our licences cover Blockmetric's own data: our figures and aggregates (for example sums and averages over several exchanges, liquidation maps and heatmaps, whale, on-chain and Hyperliquid analytics). Market data of third-party exchanges (for example Binance or Bybit) that we show or deliver per exchange is not ours to license: we grant no rights in it beyond your own personal or internal use, it remains subject to the terms of the respective exchange, and its source attribution ("Source: <exchange>") must be kept. Commercial use, display to others or redistribution of such third-party data needs the permission of that exchange. Exchange names are used only to name the source; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by these exchanges.

Widgets, embeds, images and downloads

Widgets, embeds, shared chart images and downloaded files of Blockmetric may be used free of charge for non-commercial and editorial purposes if the credit "Data by Blockmetric" remains visible together with a link to the corresponding page on Blockmetric (the credit line supplied with the embed code must remain on the page). The credit, watermark or source line must not be removed, covered, cropped or altered, and the data must not be presented as one's own. Use of Blockmetric's own data in a commercial product, white-label or redistribution beyond this requires an API Pro or Enterprise licence. Values of third-party exchanges shown per exchange (e.g. Binance, Bybit) are not licensed by us: personal or internal use only, subject to that exchange's terms, keep "Source: <exchange>" (see Third-party exchange data). Data is provided without warranty and is not investment advice.

9. Blockmetric RPC

  • Blockmetric RPC is sold to businesses only; the order form asks for the company and the confirmation that you order as a business. The consumer right of withdrawal (section 7) therefore does not apply. Prices are net, plus VAT or reverse charge depending on your country, as shown on the payment page.
  • Global plans: Free with 1 million credits per month; Starter $49 per month or $529 per year with 10 million credits per month (overage $5 per million credits), Growth $249 per month or $2,689 per year with 60 million credits per month (overage $4 per million credits), Scale $799 per month or $8,629 per year with 250 million credits per month (overage $3 per million credits). One credit is one request; heavier methods count more (credits and weights). When the monthly credits are used up, requests are rejected until the 1st of the next month (UTC) unless you switch on overage with a monthly cap (paid plans only).
  • Dedicated throughput for one chain in one region, billed monthly only: 25 RPS $199, 100 RPS $749, 250 RPS $1,799, 500 RPS $3,599 per month; no credits and no overage, requests above the rate are rejected. Enterprise (from $2,500 per month) and dedicated nodes (price on request) by individual contract.
  • Chains, regions and plan tiers open individually. Where a combination is not open yet, only the waitlist is available.
  • No SLA on the plans booked online; support by e-mail, answered within 1–2 business days.
  • Blockmetric RPC is not offered in countries and regions subject to EU sanctions, and the gateway blocks access from them. You are responsible for the requests and transactions you send through your endpoints and must not use them to breach sanctions or other laws.
  • Subscriptions renew for the chosen term; cancel them in the billing portal of your account or by e-mail to us, effective at the end of the paid period.

10. Availability and service credits (SLA)

For the paid data plans (Pro, Desk, API Dev, API Pro) we target 99.5% monthly availability of the API (UTC month). It is measured every minute in 5-minute slots: a slot is available when the API answered and the core data was not down; slots without a measurement count as unavailable. The figures are on /status. Below target, the subscription gets a credit for the unavailable time pro rata to the monthly fee (yearly plans: yearly price ÷ 12), at least 10% and at most 100% of the monthly fee. Credits are set off against the next invoice and not paid out; trials and accounts billed through a marketplace are excluded. Further statutory rights remain unaffected.

11. Acceptable use

  • Use the service only in line with the law, these terms and the licence of your plan (section 8).
  • Do not circumvent limits, plan restrictions or technical protection (for example by rotating accounts, keys or IP addresses), and do not access the website automatically other than through the API, widgets and feeds we provide.
  • Do not share or resell accounts, keys or tokens beyond what your licence allows.
  • Do not disrupt the service or other users (attacks, excessive load, probing for vulnerabilities); report security issues to us instead.
  • Do not use alerts, webhooks or the Telegram bot to send unsolicited messages or to attack other systems.
  • Do not remove required attributions or present our data as your own.

If you break these rules, we may block keys or tokens or restrict the account; in serious cases, or if a breach continues after a warning, we may terminate the contract for good cause.

12. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under an expressly given guarantee. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected. Otherwise liability is excluded as far as legally permitted. These limits also apply in favour of our legal representatives and vicarious agents.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms with effect for the future, for example when the law or the service changes. A change applies to a running paid subscription only if you agree to it; we ask you by e-mail. If you do not agree, the subscription continues under the terms agreed with your order until it ends. Changes to features are governed by section 2.

14. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country of your habitual residence.

If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes from this contract is the registered office of the operator (see the legal notice). Consumers can sue and be sued at the courts competent by law. Information on consumer dispute resolution is in the legal notice.

The contract language is English. If a provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the rest of the contract remains valid; the statutory provisions apply in place of the invalid one.
