Where would a position be liquidated? Enter entry, size and leverage, and the calculator applies the venue's margin tiers. It computes in your browser; nothing is sent or stored.
Approximation, without fees and funding; the tier is chosen by the notional at entry. Not investment advice.
Hyperliquid. Each market has margin tiers by position size. The maintenance margin rate of a tier is half the initial margin at its maximum leverage (1 ÷ (2 × max leverage)); a deduction keeps the maintenance margin continuous between tiers. The position is liquidated when its collateral plus unrealised PnL falls to the maintenance margin at the liquidation price: liquidation price = (side × size × entry − collateral − deduction) ÷ (size × (side − rate)), with side +1 for a long and −1 for a short.
Bybit. Risk-limit tiers from Bybit's public API (maintenance margin rate and deduction per tier). Long: entry − (margin − maintenance margin) ÷ size; short: entry + (margin − maintenance margin) ÷ size, with the maintenance margin taken at entry.
Cross margin uses the account equity you enter as the collateral of this one position; other open positions change the real result. Binance is not included: its leverage brackets are only available with a signed API key.
The position is liquidated 9.09% below the entry, a little before the full 10% margin is gone, because the maintenance margin has to stay in the account.
Approximation, without trading fees, funding payments or the liquidation fee. Margin tiers are refreshed once a day (last: 2026-11-05 06:58 UTC).
