The spread is the difference between two published funding rates, not a return you can lock in. Trading fees on four fills (open and close on both venues), slippage, the price moving between the legs, margin and liquidation risk on two venues, transfer times and rates that change every settlement all reduce it or turn it negative. Hyperliquid and Lighter settle every hour, the exchanges every 1, 4 or 8 hours, so the legs are not paid at the same moments; "Per 8h" compares them on one interval. Fees depend on venue, fee tier and order type: check each venue's schedule against the "Per 8h" column. Times in UTC. Not investment advice.

Questions and answers

What does positive funding mean?

Longs pay shorts. Negative funding means shorts pay longs.

What is predicted funding?

The funding rate the venue currently projects for its next settlement, before it is paid.

What does the Arbitrage tab show?

Pairs of venues that list the same coin with real open interest on both, widest funding gap first. Hourly and 8-hourly venues compared per hour, with the next settlement times. A gap between published rates is not a return you can lock in: fees, price moves between the legs and rate changes reduce it.
