# Blockmetric data for agents

## Getting data

1. **REST API** (JSON, read-only): `https://api.blockmetric.io/v1`. Send `Authorization: Bearer <key>` (personal keys: https://blockmetric.io/account/api).
**Without a key**: send the header `x-blockmetric-access: public` instead for free-tier data with 24 h of history, 10 requests/minute and 300/day per IP, non-commercial. A free personal key raises the request limits and the history to 30 days; paid plans add more history.
   Endpoints: `/markets`, `/funding`, `/liquidations`, `/liqmap/{coin}`, `/positions/top`, `/whales/feed`, `/wallets/{address}`, `/radar/events`, `/stats`, `/coins`, `/candles/{coin}`, `/heatmap/{coin}`, `/heatmap/{coin}/open-interest`, `/heatmap/{coin}/wallets`, `/scoreboard`, `/liquidations/summary`, `/long-short`, `/whales`, `/whales/stops`, `/traders`, `/cohorts`, `/smart-money`, `/orderbook/{coin}`, `/flow/{coin}`, `/tape`, `/screener`, `/funding/predicted`, `/funding/spreads`, `/sentiment`, `/security/incidents`, `/security/wallets`, `/security/wallets/{address}`, `/movements`, `/exchange-flows`, `/me`. Full reference as Markdown (parameters, fields, real examples): https://blockmetric.io/docs/api.md; spec: https://api.blockmetric.io/v1/openapi.json.
2. **Tool definitions** for tool-calling LLMs over the REST API (the MCP server package is being prepared for release): https://blockmetric.io/docs/api/agents.
3. **CSV / JSON files** (`https://blockmetric.io/api/feed/export/<kind>`, kinds positions, liqmap, funding, traders, stops, heatmap, liquidations, oi, long-short; range 24h | 3d | 7d | 30d | 90d | 1y | 3y) are part of Pro and need a signed-in account; without one they answer 403. Agents and scripts use the REST API above. API keys are never accepted in a URL.
4. **Widgets** for web pages: `<iframe src="https://blockmetric.io/embed/heatmap?coin=BTC">`, kinds heatmap, ticker, liquidations, markets, sentiment, liq-levels, top-liquidations, whale-moves, funding, long-short, whales, hacks, calculator; builder https://blockmetric.io/widgets.
5. **Chart images**: `https://blockmetric.io/api/share/heatmap?coin=BTC&range=24h&side=both` (PNG with source and time).

## Presenting it

- Credit every reuse: "Data by Blockmetric" with a link to the page the data comes from (e.g. https://blockmetric.io/coins/BTC/heatmap). Name the underlying sources the response lists (`meta.source`).
- Always state the data time (`meta.updatedAt`, UTC). Values are minutes old, not tick data.
- Liquidation levels are computed from tracked Hyperliquid positions; exchange liquidation totals are as reported by the exchanges and undercount. Say so when it matters.
- Report facts only. Do not turn the data into buy/sell/hold recommendations or price targets. It is not investment advice.
- Coins use Hyperliquid names (BTC, ETH, kPEPE, xyz:GOLD). Money is USD; funding, distances and fields ending in Pct are fractions (0.01 = 1 %); multiply by 100 before you write "%".
